Is managing two major works for the hsc too hard? (e.g. design and tech & art)?

I'm planning to do textiles and visual arts for my HSC. I'm not in year 11 or 12 yet but I'm in year 10 and I have heard that since those two subjects have a major work component, it will be too difficult...Any advice on how to manage this?
