If children were born without anyone ever telling them about god or religion?

and they were able to live their entire lives without other people putting things in their heads about god, the bible, religion, etc, what would be their fate? Surely they would never come upon these things from their own mind. So what does that say about god and religion, that people have to tell you about it for you to "know" it, to "believe" it, or to have "faith" in it.
