He can't look in my eyes anymore since hes gotten to know me..?

When we sit down and were on the chairs with wheels I'd wheel over to him and ask for help he'd puff his chest out soften his voice and reply with a few words but we would gaze into each others eyes during the time I talk and we sit like very very close mind. & He smiles slightly every time and always looks at me and checks me out and looks down if i catch him or looks at me for a second then looks away. But if say were both standing up and I talk he would smile and talk back but he can't look in my eyes its cute but I'm curious as to why he can't .. online he is himself but in person hes gotten so shy after getting to know me online but surely him looking at me won't make him feel more shy? :S help?
