Am i going about things the right way?

I am crushing on someone who lives near where me and my friend hang out near. So lately after the increasing thoughts of getting to know the person, i have realised i have been using my nights out with my friend as an excuse to be near this person im crushing on. I just feel like im not being faithful to my friend, but dont get me wrong me and my friend go out alot, so surely im not that bad for doing it. But overall, should i stop using the outings as a chance to see my crush or just forget about my crush (which im finding hard to do)?
