Iphone 4 versus Android 2 from Verizon. this newbie needs help picking one!?

I am finally giving up my little flip phone to go smart! Have verizon, should I get an Iphone (the one for 200 dollars) or some kind of droid phone (like the 2). I know little to anything about these phones and just got my first igadet (the ipad2 though can't use it as a phone). Any help for my tech naive self would surely be appreciated :)
