Boost Mobile's Samsung Galaxy Prevail?

I am going to get the Samsung Galaxy Prevail through Boost Mobile. I know it has an Android Operating System, and I have watched many videos on Youtube about it, explaining what it can do, and what features, or how fast it is. A few of the videos I have watched shows the owner of the phone trying to go to the screen left of the main starting page, when he/she tries to go to the other screen, they have to try 3-5 times before it does it. Does this happen normally, is it that slow, am I going to like this phone? I want something that looks cool, shiny, it's fast, can get on the internet, and I can get Apps with it. If any of you could help, I would appreciate it very much! Thank you!
